A Reinhardt History
By Patricia Reinhardt

Introduction
As much as possible, I've tried to validate the information included in this booklet with birth certificates, census records, land records, etc. However, much of the included information is extracted from the oral history of the families. I've tried to acknowledge sources of the verbal history and to say "it is believed" when relating family information not yet verified.

Ed and I have negatives of most of the pictures included in this book, and they can be borrowed for reprints.

We will continue to research these families. As new information is gathered, it will be made available. Despite proofreading and numerous calls to verify facts, there will be errors in this book. Please use it as a workbook. Change things, add things, make it your own.

It has been a joy to look for the ancestors of Margaret and Floyd Reinhardt. As bits of information were uncovered, I felt more and more love toward those who struggled and persevered.

I was especially impressed by the longevity of the family members. Most ancestors lived to their late 70's or into their 80's.

There are many who generously shared their stories, treasures and time to make this book possible. I would like to thank the children of Floyd and Margaret: Rita, John, Kitty, Bunnie, Floyd "Tubby" and Jim for their help. Also:

    James Rotherham

    Dorothy Wendelin

    Margaret Reinhardt

    Jackie Rotherham

    Lucille Rotherham

    Amy Emery

    Til Rotherham

    Joseph P. Rotherham

    Lucille Reinhardt Kirby

My most tender experience was finding the baptismal record of tiny Mary Evangeline Rotherham who was born and died at age 2 months in Cripple Creek, Colorado. We remember her and all those who have gone ahead of us with this scripture.

    "Eye has not seen,
    Ear has not heard
nor has it so much as
    dawned on man
    what God has prepared
    for those who love him."

        I Corinthians 2:9

    Lovingly,
